When my business partner and I decided to go after sturgeon for a day while we were in Portland for a business trip - we did some research online and chose Hook' em up Larry. Larry abosolutely underpromised and overdelivered!!! We had the best trip of our lives and caught at least 20 HUGE sturgeon each. Some were too big to bring in the boat! Larry is an awesome guide, very professional, great guy to hang out with, and has a quality boat set-up. I can't wait to bring my Dad back for a few days of catching MONSTER fish with Hookem' up Larry. Thanks Larry - we had a blast!

My husbands pick was fishing with Larry on the Willamette River. This actually turned into my favorite part of our vaction as well. For a cold and rainy day, Larry did an amazing job of bringing in 35 sturgeon, keeping us dry and warm and making us laugh for the entire trip! I would recommend Hook'em up fishing with Larry to anyone. We are already planning on bringing our kids with us to fish next time!!

Larry was a generous and patient man that helped us to catch fish steadily for the 8 hour trip. We come to Oregon every other year and will be sure to fish with Larry again. The last two years we had fished the Kenai River in Alaska, and Capitiva Island in FL...and this year decided to fish Oregon with Larry....a super guide. We had a blast, and caught sturgeon until our arms were tired. Released them all, but what great fun. Larry will put you on some fish for sure. He has a nice, clean boat, and there was more than enough room on it for the four of us.Good fun and good fishing. It doesn't get any better than that. His tackle was in very good condition, his Boat was clean and safe, his Mr. Heater brand heater was just the trick to take the chill off of us when we got up under the soft top cover after it started to rain. He put us on fish, and we brought a couple “Springers” home. When not too many other boats were in the action, he got it done! Captain Larry not only took a couple of pictures of us, he printed them up and we carried them away when we left, along with few a bags of Oregon’s finest Salmon Filets that he cleaned at the dock! Bottom Line, if you are looking to catch fish in the Portland area, you owe it to yourself to give Captain Larry a call. I’m sure that he will treat you or you and your family right! Tight Lines…

Derryal and I just devoured 2 fresh salmon steaks broiled with smoky paprika,brown sugar, and thyme sprinkled on each side.Thanks Dan! And Larry presented us with pictures to take home of us with our catches! It just doesn't get any better.

We all caught and returned to shore looking forward to booking more trips with Hook 'em Up Guide Service. As the only female fisher person in our group, I really appreciated the heated, clean restrooms at the marina. And to top it all off, Larry even sang his own rendition of the Little Blue Boat to us. We had the best time. Thanks Larry!

I decided to take a chance on the young looking Cpt. and boy was I impressed. This guy knows his stuff. Not only did he get me into my first 2 Chinook Salmon of my life (Both Clipped 0Keepers) but he taught me so much about the area and Nature in General. He was prepared, knowledgeable and a joy to be around. I recall us seeing a huge Sea Lion just feet away from the boat and watching Bald Eagles fight for food on the Banks of the Columbia River. Larry knew his stuff and showed me the beauty of spending a day on the River. Weather fighting fish or just chatting on his beautiful..Heated :) boat, it was an Amazing day and an experience I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you Larry for one of the most awesome times of my life. I will be a customer for life and could never repay you for what you gave me. Thanks Again Captain Kesch. AJK

Not only did he put us on some great fishing but he also made the trip for my wife & young daughters somthing they will never forget! Never a dull moment between the beutiful scenery & great laughs we shared! The fish we caught were just the icing on the cake!
