The month of September I will be fishing on the Columbia River in Portland. I will be doing trips for Chinook Salmon and There is a large run of Chinook Salmon predicted to return this Summer/Fall. So there should be good opportunities to catch fish. In October I will switch to Coho Salmon fishing. Sturgeon are feeding in the river system and we can fish for them also.

Chinook Salmon March 1st - July 30th
Steelhead July 1st - Aug. 31st.
Shad May 15th - June 31st.
King/Coho Salmon Aug. - Nov. 30th
Sturgeon:Open all year, Retention on
Thursdays Fridays & Saturdays, *Salmon/Sturgeon combo trips available

Chinook Salmon are truly amazing fish. This time of year they are so Strong and powerful. Fresh in the rivers right out of the Pacific Ocean. Coho Salmon and Steelhead are also in the river system at this time, and they are feisty fighters. This is a good time of year to catch Salmon. Two keeper Salmon per person . Most Guide boats in the area don't have windshields or tops. With the ever-changing weather conditions in Oregon, I find it necessary to keep people dry, warm, shaded, comfortable and smiling. The extra effort it takes me to keep the boat running straight with a top is well worth the effort to make your experience a fun one. My top and side curtains can be put up, down or away in under 5 minutes whenever you want.
